Sometimes that can be annoying. You have many documents open and want to close them all. <\/span><\/p>

Maybe you had to find the right file first, or you wanted to copy content from the files. Or, or, or. <\/p>

Closing all open files in InDesign can quickly become a hassle. This script can help you. <\/span><\/p>

Close all open files<\/h4>

The script is available in three locations<\/b> in your InDesign.
Of course\u2014like all Octopus scripts\u2014it\u2019s in the \u201cOctopus\u201d menu<\/b> and in the Scripts panel<\/b>.
We\u2019ve also added <\/b>it to the \u201cFile\u201d menu <\/b>because we think that\u2019s a good idea. After all, this feature is also located there in Photoshop and Illustrator.
All three \u201caccess points\u201d do the same thing: they close all your open files in InDesign<\/b>.
If at least one of the open files has been modified, this message appears: <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

“Save<\/b>” saves all modified files, closes them, and closes all other files as well.<\/p>\n

“Discard<\/b>” closes all files without saving<\/p>\n

“Cancel<\/b>” terminates the script; nothing is saved and nothing is closed.<\/p>\n
